I am very happy with the shades purchased, lovely quality and beautiful fabric. The only negative was the packaging which was pretty substandard considering the price of the shades. One of the shades came with a big dent in the side but fortunately it popped out. Better packaging would have prevented this. Overall though the shades were lovely and very pleased with purchase.

Lampshades are, by their nature, fragile things, and conical shapes especially so. Drum shades can be wrapped in cardboard for extra protection, but the taper of a conical shade makes that impossible. Instead, I use a strong cardboard tube running top to bottom, to help guard against crush damage. Every box is clearly labelled 'this way up' and 'do not stack,' and I always use strong, double-walled boxes. The paper void fill inside is there purely to stop the shade shifting about in transit — it isn't meant to cushion against impact or crush damage, as this would be futile.
I always use tracked and insured services, so I can raise a claim and replace any lampshades damaged in transit.
